Privacy notice

What this website collects, why, where it goes, and what you can ask us to do about it.

Last updated August 26, 2026

This notice covers the website at oceanscoaching.com. It does not cover the coaching engagements themselves, which are governed by the agreement between Oceans Coaching and the client organization.

Who is responsible

Oceans Coaching, a postal address is available on request. Questions about this notice, or any request described below, go to support@oceanscoaching.com.

What we collect, and when

This site has two forms and collects nothing else. There is no account to create and nothing to buy.

If you use the contact form, we receive your first name, last name, email address, organization, and the message you write. We use it to reply to you and to route the enquiry to the right coach.

If you submit a testimonial, through the general form or a coach's personal link, we receive the words you write, the name you give, your role, your sector or organization, your email address, which coach the link was for, and the credit you chose. We also store the exact consent wording you agreed to, and the date, so there is a record of what you were shown at the time.

We use your email address on a testimonial only to check the wording with you before anything is published.

What we do not do

This is unusually short, and it is accurate rather than aspirational.

  • This site sets no cookies. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to.
  • There is no analytics on this site. No Google Analytics, no Tag Manager, no Meta or LinkedIn pixel, no session recording.
  • We do not advertise to you, build a profile of you, or track you across other websites.
  • We do not sell or share personal information, and we do not disclose it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

Publishing a testimonial

Nothing you write is published automatically. Every submission arrives marked as pending and stays unpublished until a person at the firm has read it and confirmed both that it is approved and that we hold your permission.

You choose how you are credited before you agree to anything. Initials only, initials and role, or your full name and role. If you choose initials, your full name is never stored in the field that gets published.

You can withdraw permission at any time by writing to support@oceanscoaching.com. We will remove the testimonial from the site. Search engines and AI systems may hold a cached copy for some period after that, which is outside our control.

Who else handles your information

We keep the number of processors deliberately small.

  • Sanity, our content management system, stores testimonial submissions and the content of this website.
  • Amazon Web Services hosts the site.
  • Amazon Web Services delivers contact form enquiries to us by email.

Each is a processor acting on our instructions. We do not give your information to anyone else unless the law requires it.

Where your information is held

Sanity and Amazon Web Services both hold this data in the United States. If you write to us from the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, your information is transferred to the United States under the standard contractual clauses those providers offer.

How long we keep it

Contact enquiries: kept for 24 months from your last contact with us, then deleted.

Published testimonials: kept while they remain on the site. Submissions that are declined or withdrawn: deleted within 30 days.

Consent records are kept for as long as the testimonial they relate to, because a record of permission is only useful while the thing it permits is published.

The basis we rely on

For testimonials, your consent, which you give explicitly on the form and can withdraw.

For contact enquiries, our legitimate interest in replying to someone who has asked us to get in touch.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, to receive it in a portable form, and to withdraw consent you previously gave.

To exercise any of these, write to support@oceanscoaching.com. We will not treat you differently for asking.

Where the UK or EU General Data Protection Regulation applies to you, you also have the right to complain to your local supervisory authority, and you may do so without contacting us first. Where the California Consumer Privacy Act applies, you have the rights set out above and we will not deny you a service, charge you a different price, or give you a lesser quality of service for exercising them.

Changes

If this notice changes we will update the date at the top. The version in force when you gave us your information is the one that applies to it.
